Teleport escape

Teleport escape is pretty useful for when you see your opponent is going to blast you in your face lol. This is something you should keep in mind. It is performed by pressing O right before a blast connects with your character. This is something you should always try to use when your in a jam. If you mistime it, just hold down O and you will block the blast before it hits you. You will take a bit of damage but anything is better than eating the blast head on.

Z counter/Z counter return/Z counter 2

The above video is Z counter. This is performed by hitting O right before your opponents hits you with a vanishing attack(any direction and hold []) or normal smash attack(up or down +^)
This will teleport you right behind your opponent so you can effectively attack them. Z counter return is where your opponent can counter your counter by pressing the O button back. This may sound confusing but its easier than it sounds. One thing to remember about the Z counters is that you CANNOT mash them out. It does not work that way. Instead you may want to try practicing the timing in practice mode to get it down.

**Z counter 2

This Z counter is actually ALOT harder than it looks. While your opponent is attacking you using [] rush attack you have to press up +[]. The timing for this is VERY strict but if you perform it correctly you should be able to counter your opponents move using a smash attack that you can follow up. You may counter various attacks with this. Even if your back is turned to your opponent, You can still attack them if you learn how to perform this properly. Really useful and very important ability to learn.

Sparking Meteor/Tenkaichi Defensive Gameplay Part 1

After playing the previous game, I was kinda let down by how it played a bit. Though the was a really good step into the right direction. Tenkaichi 3's gameplay is the direction they were headed and to be honest. They did a REALLY good job with it this time around. The combat system was revamped and they're are alot of new defensive options. Offense isnt as powerful all powerful anymore and mid and range range game applies heavily. The game has alot of potential and should not be overlooked by any means.

Sonic Sway

This technique is performed by pressing ^+O. This move is actually new to Tenkaichi 3. This allows for you to move around your opponents melee and counter attack them with a smash attack. Beware while using this move though. It can be baited and if your opponent catches on to it they can either:

*Teleport out of the way and end up behind you.
*Throw into a blast move
*Hop back B2(Blast2)

Instant Ki explosion

This move is actually performed by pressing L1 button twice. This puts a ki wave of energy out and forces your opponent to move away from you. It puts them into a weird stun so that They cannot attack you back right away. The only downside to using this move is that it costs you a great deal of health if used in succession. So please be careful of how often you use this. However, it CAN and will save your life. So if your in a situation thats Tough to get out of, use this move to put some distance between you and your opponent.
